156 Tri-Council Alliance for Nursing, COVID-19, and Implications for Correctional Nursing – Part 2

Part 2 of this presentation seeks to formulate a response from correctional nursing about the significance of COVID-19 current practice and direction for future correctional nurse workforce preparedness across the overlapping areas of nursing practice, education, and regulation based on our collective experiences. It is proposed that this document be disseminated to the Tri-Council Alliance for Nursing and published as a unified statement from the specialty.

  • Make recommendations for practice, academia, and regulation to serve as a platform to advocate for the correctional nursing specialty
  • Discuss dissemination of a white paper to yield the greatest impact for the specialty
