147 Hidden in Plain Sight: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in Incarcerated Populations

Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders are a common disability in incarcerated populations but often unrecognized. The associated behavior problems mean that individuals with an FASD are likely to be repeat offenders and often have difficulties in custody. This presentation will discuss FASD in adolescents and adults, including behavioral issues and consequences, and share tools for identifying these individuals and providing support while they are in custody.
