109 Behavior Change Is Not Accidental: Why Correctional Systems Need Behavioral Experts
Behavior change is not haphazard or accidental. It requires expertise in understanding the function of behavior and how each behavior is reinforced in order to support patients in changing long-standing maladaptive behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior and treatment non-compliance. We will discuss the importance of behavioral experts in correctional settings.
