102 Correctional Nurses on the Front Lines of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Case Study

An approach to documenting evidence demonstrating the scope and practice for the correctional nursing specialty will be presented. Demonstration of this evidence is critical to defining the value of correctional nursing. The case example examines nursing actions during the initial COVID-19 pandemic and encoding interventions toward the goal of documenting, disseminating, and evaluating evidence-based correctional nurse practices. Such actions align the specialty with the contemporary nursing profession.
